Another week has come and gone. The big news was that I received the edited copy of Tannion - Future Past (Book 4 in the Tannion Series) back from my editor. The bad news is, getting the edits back always makes me feel like the dumbest guy in grade six. So many editorial changes, but in the end, I know it makes for a better read without changing the story.

I was also able to add another 3000 words or more to my current project. Bentley is a spin off from The Tannion Series and is currently over thirty one thousand words and growing. Not sure where it is going yet as I need some time to think about it for a while, but it will get there.

I won't have much time for the next few days though. It is my birthday on Saturday as well as my oldest son's, so we are working on some birthday plans, but you know a lot of my time will be working on the edits I just received.  It will keep me busy for a long time and then I'll need to work on getting it published.

Now if I could just talk a few people into buying some of my books it would help.

Hi there. Another week has gone by and time for another post. It has been a busy week with several things going on, but I still had a little time to write. I added almost five thousand words to my latest venture. Bentley is an action adventure novel and a spin off from the Tannion series. Bentley shows up in two of the Tannion books as a friend of Jim Tannion and he finally gets his own adventure.

Just got word that Book 4 in the Tannion Series, which has been with my editor, is almost ready. It should be in my hands by Friday this week and then the real work begins. I will take a few days to go over and accept the changes and then I have to figure out how to publish on Amazon. The first three books in the Tannion Series were published by Createspace which no longer exists and which directs me to Amazon.

I have already purchased a cover for the book, but I will have to finalize that as well. Being the first time with kindle direct publishing, it might take to the end of the year to get it out, but I will get it published. Also the fact that we will be travelling for two months before Christmas will have an impact. There should be wifi everywhere we go, so it still should happen.

Hi there. I thought it was time to add another post, even if not a lot has happened, but I did say I would try to add something every week. I haven't received the edited version of book 4 in the Tannion Series yet and it isn't due for another week or two.  I have managed to add a little over three thousand words to Bentley my spin off from the Tannion series. Not that much this week, but it has been a busy week in other ways. Writing is only a hobby.

My writing style is very unstructured. I usually have an idea where the next chapter is going, but not often much beyond that.  Every once in a while I throw in a surprise for myself and I just did that.  In this chapter of Bentley I have him being drug into FBI headquarters and placed in an interrogation room making him look like a criminal of some sort, even to the guard who is standing outside.  The line I last wrote was  'We can talk completely off the record but I needed to make sure that your coming in looked to be for real. I think you might be close to having your cover blown and didn’t want to take any chances.'

I have no idea where the idea came from or for that matter, what I am going to do about it. The only thing I know for sure is that I am going to leave it in and work with it, Wish me luck.

 

Good morning.  Now that I am back to writing, it is good to be able to add a post here a little more often. Maybe I'll try to add one a week.  We'll see.  At this time, the fourth book in the Tannion Series (Tannion - Future Past) is still with my editor and I have now completed my initial self edit of all my books. They will need a final professional edit of course, but at least my edit is complete.  Now I am into writing again.

I have more than twenty thousand words on my next book titled Bentley. Bentley is a spin off from the Tannion Series as the main character FBI agent Lane Bentley shows up in two of the Tannion books including a large part in Tannion - Revenge (Book 8 in the Tannion Series).

Bentley picks up where Tannion - Revenge leaves off.  New York is firmly in the hands of Phil Redmond and his group, but maybe not as firmly as they thought as there is a push from another source.  Bentley gets involved and finds himself in dangerous waters where he wishes he had Tannion around to help him out, but he knows that he will have to do it by himself.

Big day today. I just sent my editor the next book in the Tannion Series. Tannion - Future Past is book 4 in the Tannion Series. I wrote the Tannion Series as it came to me without any real plan.  As the story came, I wrote it down.  I also decided to publish them in the order they were written.  This results in the books not being in any real chronological order.  That's easy to see as Book 3 is the prison years while Book 2 is after Tannion gets out of prison.

Book 4 is set many years in the future and there are 4 more books waiting in the wings.  They jump around in time as well.  The idea is that once a reader has read the first book in the series, they can read any of the other books and not be lost.  Each book is stand alone after that, but there is always some tie or reference back to the first book and some growth of character throughout. Or at least I hope so.

Also today I have come up with a title for the book I had called CCD.  Color Me dead is a crime novel centered on crime and prejudice.

It is almost time. I am very close to having my last book self edited and getting ready to have the fourth book in the Tannion Series edited professionally before it is published. I am not sure what self publisher I will be using, but I am leaning towards Kindle Direct.  As soon as I get things started, I hope to have a number of books lined up and ready to go over the next few months or years. In all their are 15 books with only 3 published so far so very far to go. I will be looking at taking pre-orders eventually, but for now I just hope to get the word out that I am back. My last book was published 4 years ago and that has been too long. Time to get going.

Part of getting going is to increase my time spent on my website. It has been lacking both my time and effort. I hope I have the time and the effort will come. I also want to keep writing. I am working on a spin off from the Tannion Series and I hope to be able to get back to it.

Today is a good day. I think I have finally gotten my website up and running again. I say I think only because I won't know until this post shows up. It has been a couple of years since I mistakenly deleted the gmail account that the original website was connected to. It is good to have it back.

Now that it is back, it is time to update everyone on what is going on. I still have the first three books in the Tannion Series published and they are still available on Amazon. I now believe it is worth my while to publish the rest of my books and I have started the process with some self editing. Lots of work to go as they will all need to be professionally edited and then formatted before they show up on Amazon. Hopefully in the next few years I will have all fifteen of my books self published and maybe even selling a few copies.

I am also working on the next book which is a spin off from the Tannion series called Bentley. Bentley is a character in one of the later Tannion books that seems interesting enough for a book of his own. I am just getting started on it so I hope I am right and it stays interesting.

So, now that my website is back up and running, I hope to post a little more more often and also to add more updates to the information it contains. Stay tuned.
